Recent research shows that 'the average UK 12 year old spends 29 hours on their smartphone per week', and the media is full of conversations about the potential benefits and harms that smartphones can have on young people. How do we help our young people to navigate ever developing tech in a healthy way? We'll be diving into the latest research, discussing the challenges of talking 'screen time' with teenagers, and discovering a path forward to help our children thrive in a digital world. -
Let's Talk About... Anxiety

In a world with plenty of reasons to feel anxious, how can we best support the young people in our lives to positively understand and navigate feelings of anxiety? And how can we know the difference between being anxious and having an anxiety disorder? Drawing on neuroscience, psychology and many years of supporting young people experiencing anxiety, we will together forge a way forward to understand anxiety within the teenage brain and respond in a compassionate and helpful way. -
Let's Talk About Self Harm

With '1 in 4 17-year olds stating that they have self-harmed in the last year', we'll be exploring some of the reasons, myths and circumstances that can surround self-harm, and thinking about how to have helpful conversations with the young people in our lives about this often unspoken topic, whether for the first or the 100th time. We'll be bringing the latest research and hope to the conversation, drawing on over 10 years experience of supporting young people who have experienced self-harming. -
Let's Talk About... Body Image

Concerns about the way our bodies look has long been a difficult part of adolescence, with around '2/3rds of under 18s stating that they feel negatively about their bodies'. With competing messages from the media, peers, social media and family and friends, how can we develop positive self-confidence and body image within our young people, and foster an atmosphere where they can thrive in healthy ways?
