Girls Day 2019
Our annual Girls Day took place on Saturday 8th June and what a wonderful day it was! We had another fun-filled schedule, with an array of exciting workshops taking place. These workshops included ‘screen-printing’ where they had the chance to create a design for their own tote bags and tea-towels, ‘stretch’ where they got to explore different movements to work each muscle in their body, and ‘apothecary’ giving them the opportunity to create their own shampoo, conditioners, room sprays & roller ball scents to help with issues such as stress or anxiety. Other amazing workshops which took place included; lithograph stamps, mindfulness, street dance, embroidery, forest skills and personal styling.
We also had a great ‘all together’ session, looking at different techniques we can use to support our own mental wellbeing- helping us all to develop the skills to help ourselves when we’re having a difficult day.
We were delighted that the girls had such a fantastic day with so many of them telling us how much they enjoyed trying new things, learning new skills and overall had a really great day!
